Your Home From Home In Chester

Your Home From Home In Chester

Your home from home in Chester

When the Romans made themselves at home in Chester some two thousand years ago, they had some very particular specifications in mind. They build fortified walls for defence and spartan accommodation for the garrison. And they built Britain’s largest amphitheatre, for military training as well as entertainment. Modern visitors can visit the remains of Roman Chester and learn about its history. But their own accommodation is likely to be a lot more comfortable.

Modern luxury in an ancient city

That’s certainly true if they choose to stay at one of Residential Estates’ short-term lets in the city. A range of options are available. They include several studio and one or two-bed apartments as well as larger properties suitable for families. What all have in common are modern specifications that would have seemed like unimaginable luxury for the average Roman legionnaire. Spacious and comfortable bedrooms, generous living areas with smart TVs and Wi-Fi. And of course all the running hot water you could wish for in the modern bathrooms, as well as fully fitted modern kitchens.

It’s safe to say that even less ancient denizens of Chester would be impressed. That includes the Saxons and Vikings who fought over the city. And the Normans who built its stunning cathedral. Not to mention the medieval merchants and modern industrialists who helped make it the fantastic little city it is today.

The time machine experience

Wandering through Chester is like experiencing a time machine. Leaving your high-spec apartment, you soon find yourself in vibrant streets full of streets, cafes and bars. But half-shut your eyes and you can imagine yourself in a medieval city. That’s especially true in the 700-year-old Rows galleries. You can also visit the Roman walls, which served a military purpose as late as the English Civil War. And Chester is also home to the oldest racecourse in Britain. Perfect for a day’s entertainment and perhaps a flutter. All this makes Chester ideal for a romantic city break or a family holiday. Chester Zoo is just a short drive of bus ride from the city centre.

Business or pleasure?

Situated in the heart of England’s north west, Chester is also a hub for business and a hive of economic activity. Residential Estates’ short-term lets are equally suitable for business travellers and contractors. And with the area increasingly popular with home movers, these apartments are an excellent option for those seeking temporary accommodation while a move goes through. So they should definitely be on the radar of relocation agents with clients moving to the area.

Chester is a gem of a city. And Residential Estates’ comfortable modern properties make for an enjoyable stay whatever your reasons for visiting. Check out the options today.
